Job Description
Social workers help people develop or rebuild resources such as family, friends, and health to meet life's challenges. Social Workers work in a variety of places such as hospitals, social service agencies and clinics helping individuals and families by identifying and understanding the problem in their lives. They usually begin by by interviewing their client and they determine what service they need to help them. Social workers will continue to keep track with their clients to assess their progress. There are other social workers who specialize in specific areas. Clinical social workers are trained to provide mental health services and/or psychotherapy. They may also work with people who have problems with addiction.
